Arizona
Arizona, a southwestern U.S. state, is best known for the Grand Canyon, the mile-deep chasm carved by the Colorado River. Known as “The Grand Canyon State”. Arizona is home to many Native American Tribes, 22 to be exact, the largest being the Navajo Nation. The terrain in Arizona ranges from desert landscapes to beautiful mountain peaks. Flagstaff, a ponderosa pine–covered mountain town, is a major gateway to the Grand Canyon. Other natural sites include Saguaro National Park, protecting cactus-filled Sonoran Desert landscape. The Saguaro Cacti are protected very fiercely, it is considered a felony if a person is caught cutting down a Saguaro cactus. There are many things to do in Arizona with the climate being hot and with the climates in the mountainous areas being cooler. There are many tours that you can experience to see all the beauty that Arizona has to offer, from helicopter rides over the Grand Canyon to Jeep tours in the Sedona desert.
